Did you know that the first Thursday every May is known as the National Day of Prayer? It was established 70 years ago by Congress and signed into law by President Truman.
Their will be a gathering of the churches of Janesville for a prayer meeting this May 5th held outside of the former Sears store at Uptown Janesville (formerly the Janesville Mall) at noon. You may want to bring a lawn chair.
We will also host a prayer meeting at the City of Hope at 6pm that night! Join us for either, or both, meetings to pray for our nation, state, and community! Caption
Welcome to The City of Hope!
The City of Hope is a non-denomination fellowship of believers. The Word of God is our guide in all things. Our desire is to see the Kingdom of God established in the hearts and lives of people of all ages and races . Our goal is to build committed, related, submitted, and obedient servants of God through the study and application His Word.
Our vision verses are Habakkuk 2:1-3 and Isaiah 62:8-12. "Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations...They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted."
We live in a world in which many are discouraged having lost hope. Come to the City of Hope to be renewed, refreshed, and refilled with Hope that only Jesus Christ can give.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
Do you want to read the bible, but not sure where to start? Would you like to engage with other believers to talk about what you are reading? Why not join us as we read through several books of the bible this year. Currently, we are reading the book of Genesis. We will be reading 5 chapters per week. One chapter will be shared on our facebook page each weekday. You can join our conversation their, on our WhatsApp group, or during our Wednesday night Zoom meetings.
